| Arafia (edit) | Arafia, the Primordial Spirit of darkness and night, emerged from the chaotic energies of Astram within the Primordial Void. Born as a counterbalance to the radiance of Dharas (light), Arafia is defines the darkness of night and the mysteries of the unknown. |
Arafia embodies the night sky and the hidden depths of existence. The physical world of Adaris hangs between the realms of light and dark. As the world turns, it shifts between the influence of Noirra and Aurelion, creating the cycles of day and night. |
The realm of Arafia, known as Noirra, is a domain of pure darkness. Unlike any other realm, Noirra is a vast expanse where no light can penetrate. It is a place of absolute blackness, where sight is impossible. Noirra is, however, not an empty void. Inhabitants exist there living their lives in total darkness. |
The practice Osia that deals Arafia, is complex and deals with various manners of darkness. By attuning to nascent spirits of Arafia’s essence, they can manipulate darkness as a tool, using it to hide or protect. The power of darkness is a dangerous one. Those who dwell too long within the blackness risk becoming lost within, their identities dissolving into the void. |
While depictions of Arafia exist, they are only interpretations. The true form of Arafia is that of pure darkness. In art, Arafia is almost always represented using charcoal and customarily depicted as a man. |

| Awenlas (edit) | Awenlas, the Primordial Spirit of Imagination. It emerged in near-tandem with Daathir, the first consciousness, during the awakening of reality within the Primordial Void. Where Daathir represents awareness, thought, and structure, Awenlas is vision, abstraction, and creativity. |
Awemlas' influence is expansive, covering all aspects of imagination, creativity and the possibilities that go along with it. Much of the metaphysical realm stems from Awenlas in some way. Awenlas also created the original humans (the Trueborn), who first born into the physical realm. All human-based races have aspects of Awenlas present within themselves. |
Kalpanas is the intangible realm of imagination. Kalpanas is not governed by time or space; it is the field of endless creativity. |
The practice of those who attune to Awenlas, focuses on the manipulation of dreams, imagination, and possibility. Practitioners are known as Awenlari. |

| Dharas (edit) | Dharas, the Primordial Spirit of Light emerged when Daathir began to dream of a way out of darkness. |
Dharas is the force that fills Adaris with light and warmth. |
The realm of Dharas, Aurelion, is a vast and radiant expanse of light. In Aurelion, beams of illumination create a ceaseless display of brilliance and color. Aurelion and Noirra, the realm of darkness, are cosmic counterpoints. As Adaris turns between them, the cycle of day and night is created. |
The branch of Osia associated with Dharas, known as Dhasia, focuses on the manipulation of nascent spirits of light. |

| Jala (edit) | Jala, the Primordial Spirit of Water, embodies fluidity, adaptability, and the power to nourish and transform. Born from the chaotic energies of Astram within the Primordial Void, Jala represents the ever-flowing force that nurtures life, reshapes the world, and binds together the cycles of renewal in Adaris. Where water flows, so too does the presence of Jala—beneath rivers, across oceans, and within the quiet mist of rain. |
Jala encompasses all manifestations of water—from still pools to crashing tides. Its influence flows through ecosystems, emotions, and the unseen rhythms of life. As a spirit, Jala signifies not only the material force of water but also the metaphysical qualities of transformation, healing, and emotional depth. Associated with cycles and transition, Jala represents impermanence and change. Water cleanses, reveals, obscures, and connects. In the emotional realm, Jala brings intuition, introspection, and spiritual purification. Its presence may soothe or overwhelm, but it always moves forward. |
Jala’s domain, Pelagia, is a boundless oceanic realm where currents weave between lightless abysses and sunlit shallows. Unlike other spiritual realms defined by territory, Pelagia flows infinitely, shaped by the movement of tides and the breathing of the deep. This realm is inhabited by water-spirits and fluid entities that defy fixed form. Waves carry memory, and creatures born of Pelagia often possess the ability to echo voices and emotions in currents. Portals between Pelagia and the material plane open where water gathers in strength—at river deltas, oceanic trenches, and sacred springs. |
The branch of Osia tied to Jala is concerned with the shaping, channeling, and awakening of water spirits. Practitioners attune themselves to the subtle consciousness within every drop of water. They manipulate its motion and memory, using its fluid essence to heal, obscure, or reveal. Practitioners are often seen as mediators, healers, or guides, and their arts emphasize harmony with natural flows rather than domination. Advanced Osiari allows for the calling forth of rains or even the parting of rivers. |
Jala is honored wherever life depends on water. Shrines appear near springs, wells, and river confluences, often marked by flowing banners, driftwood carvings, or polished stones arranged in spiral patterns. Rituals typically involve immersion, reflection, and release. Communities pray to Jala for rain, renewal, and protection from drought or flood. Ritual ablutions are central to many spiritual traditions, invoking Jala to cleanse both body and spirit. In coastal cultures, Jala is also viewed as a boundary keeper—between life and death, land and sea, certainty and change. |

| Kairos (edit) | Kairos is the embodiment of time within the cosmology of Adaris. As the Primordial spirit of time, Kairos controls the flow of moments, ensuring the continuity of all life. |
Kairos established its domain, known as Sataa or the Realm of Time, at the intersection of light and dark. Sataa is unique among the realms as it encompasses all the elemental realms within its boundaries, allowing the flow of time to touch every aspect of existence in Adaris. It serves as the space through which the elemental realms move, creating the cyclical nature of day and night, the changing of seasons, and the progression of life. Sataa exists as a vast, liminal space, where the boundaries between realms blur and time flows like a river. Within this realm, Kairos governs the celestial movements of the sun and moon, orchestrating the passage of hours and seasons. Sataa is depicted as an ever-changing landscape, filled with shifting sands, flowing rivers, and eternal twilight, representing the constant ebb and flow of time. While Sataa encompasses all the elemental realms, there are certain domains that lie outside the reach of time. The realms of light and darkness, governed by Dharas and Arafia, as well as the realms of imagination and consciousness held by Awenlas and Daathir, exist beyond the influence of Kairos. These realms are timeless, not bound by the flow of moments that define Sataa. |
The Osia associated with Kairos involves the manipulation of time. Practitioners align themselves with the flow of time tapping into the consciousness of Kairos and related nascent spirits to influence small temporal events. While the manipulation of time is inherently limited and localized—affecting small-scale phenomena over short periods—there are legends of those who have attempted to exert greater influence over time, with varying degrees of success and danger. |

| Oras (edit) | Oras is the primordial spirit of Earth within the cosmology of Adaris. It embodies the physical world and represents material solidity and structure. Oras is considered the physical Earth itself and is regarded as the foundation upon which the other primordial elements act. Oras arose from the chaotic energies of Astram within the primordial void when Daathir and Awenlas conceived the idea of physicality and material strength. Through this act, Oras became the first of the primordial elements to emerge, transforming potential into structured reality and forming the basis of the tangible world. |
Oras represents all things physical within existence. Its essence is present in stone, mountain, and all material forms. As the embodiment of structure, Oras anchors the cosmos against the chaos of Astram, granting permanence to a reality otherwise defined by constant change. This stability allows the other elements to interact and shape the material world. |
The realm of Oras is called Orethil. It was the first realm to solidify from the chaos of Astram. In its earliest state, Orethil was a vast expanse of stone, devoid of water, flame, air, or life. As the other elemental realms came into being, Orethil’s surface was eroded and reshaped through their influence, creating the diverse forms of terrain that now define the physical world. Orethil occupies a central position among the elemental realms. It lies beneath the realm of Air, known as Caelum, and above the realm of Fire, called Angarik. The realm of Water, Pelagia, surrounds these, encompassing all fluid elements within the material plane. |
Orasia is the branch of Osia dedicated to the manipulation of pure earth. Practitioners of Orasia can move terrain, shape stone, and commune with the latent spirits that dwell within the earth. This discipline is viewed as a direct expression of Oras’ power and essence. |
As one of the six primordial spirits, Oras holds a foundational position in the cosmology of Adaris. It is through Oras that the physical world came into existence. While the realms of Fire, Water, and Air have distinct domains, their actions ultimately influence and reshape Orethil, the realm of Earth, which remains the central foundation of all material reality. |

| Shasae (edit) | Shasae, the Primordial Spirit of atmosphere, embodies the essence of air, breath, and the invisible forces that bind all living things together. Born from the chaotic energies of Astram within the Primordial Void, Shasae emerged as an ethereal breath when Daathir realized that an atmosphere was needed for life to flourish. Shasae provides the vital air that sustains all forms of life and is the very embodiment of freedom, movement, and change. |
Shasae is the invisible wind that moves across the world, the very air we breathe, the gusts that fill sails, and the winds that shape landscapes. Shasae’s presence is felt in every breath taken by living beings and in the silent whispers of the winds that traverse the world of Adaris. The primordial spirit of atmosphere governs the realm of Caelum, where air takes on a life of its own, forming a dynamic environment of winds, clouds, and ethereal beings. Shasae represents freedom and change, governing the unseen forces that move without constraint. It is the gentle breeze and the fierce storm, the breath of life and the winds of transformation. Shasae’s influence is everywhere, whether in the playful dance of leaves caught in a gust or the terrifying might of a hurricane. |
The realm of Shasae, known as Caelum, is a boundless expanse of sky and atmosphere. It is a realm of pure air, where the sky stretches infinitely and is filled with drifting clouds, powerful winds, and mystical beings like the Caelites and Sky Drifters. In Caelum, the air is sacred and alive, a constant dance of winds that carry the breath of Shasae throughout Adaris. Caelum is a realm of perpetual movement and change, reflecting the free-spirited nature of Shasae. The winds here are unpredictable, constantly shifting in strength and direction, creating a world where nothing is static. This realm sits above the physical world, embracing it with an atmosphere that sustains life and connects all living beings through the air they share. Caelum is crucial to the cosmic balance, complementing the realms of earth, fire, light, and darkness. It represents the breath of life, the unseen force that ties all beings together, and the energy that fuels movement, growth, and change. |
Focuses on the manipulation of nascent spirits of wind, air, and the atmosphere. Practitioners attune themselves to the spirits of the air, harnessing the winds to move freely through the world, shape the environment, and channel the breath of life into everything they touch |
Shasae is revered throughout Adaris as the giver of life and a symbol of freedom, movement, and change. Temples and shrines dedicated to Shasae are often located in high places, open to the skies, or built to capture the wind, reflecting the spirit's connection to the air and the heavens. These spaces are designed to let the wind flow freely, with open structures and fluttering banners that dance in the breeze. Travelers, sailors, and adventurers often pray to Shasae for safe journeys and favorable winds. Rituals in honor of Shasae include offerings of incense, feathers, and other light objects that are released into the wind, symbolizing the release of worries and the embracing of freedom. Communities also gather during festivals to celebrate the changing seasons and the life-giving air, honoring Shasae's role in the balance of nature and the interconnectedness of all life. |

| Tejas (edit) | Tejas, the Primordial Spirit of fire, was born from the chaotic energies of Astram within the Primordial Void when Daathir envisioned something vibrant and energetic in contrast to the stability and unchanging nature of Oras. Tejas emerged as a dynamic force of energy, capable of both creation and destruction. |
Tejas represents both the nurturing warmth of a hearth and the destructive power of a wildfire. Its influence is felt across the world of Adaris in every act of transformation. It is the power that shapes metal into tools and weapons, the kiln that transforms clay into pottery, and the hearth that provides warmth and comfort. Tejas embodies the duality of fire—both a creative and destructive force—representing the passion that fuels all life and the inevitable change that fire brings. Tejas is also symbolic of passion and energy, driving individuals to pursue their desires with intensity and fervor. The spirit of fire is present wherever flames burn, from the smallest candle to the fiercest inferno, and its presence is a reminder of both the constructive and destructive potential of fire. Tejas influences every aspect of life where transformation, growth, and change are central. |
The realm of Tejas, known as Angarik is a domain of unending fire. Unlike the physical realm, Angarik is a vast expanse of pure flame, where fire exists in its most primal and unbridled form. It is a sea of never-ending fire, with no other elements present, only the roaring, crackling, and shifting of flames. Angarik "sits" beneath the physical realm of Adaris, much like the atmosphere rests above. It is believed that certain phenomena in the physical world, such as volcanoes and roaring campfires, serve as direct doorways to this fiery domain. In these moments, the barrier between realms thins, allowing the raw energy of Tejas to burst forth into the world of Adaris. This realm represents the transformative nature of fire, where destruction and renewal are constant. It is a place of great power, where those who seek to master the flames come to understand both the fury and the warmth that fire brings. The energy of Angarik fuels the fires of the physical world, linking the two realms in an eternal cycle of creation and destruction. |
A branch of osia that focuses on the manipulation of nascent spirits of fire and heat. Practitioners attune themselves to the transformative energy of Tejas, harnessing its power to create, destroy, and change the world around them. Tejasiari are often seen as powerful and unpredictable, their connection to fire representing both the nurturing and the destructive forces at play in the universe. |
Tejas is revered throughout Adaris as a symbol of transformation, passion, and purification. Temples and shrines dedicated to Tejas often feature eternal flames, fiery imagery, and rituals involving fire and heat. These temples are spaces where the fire never dies, symbolizing the unending cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Blacksmiths, artisans, and warriors seek Tejas's blessings for skill, inspiration, and the strength to overcome challenges. Those seeking to purify their hearts or overcome past traumas may participate in fire rituals or offer prayers to Tejas. Festivals of fire are common in many regions, where bonfires are lit to celebrate the energy of life and the passion that drives people to create and thrive. Tejas is also invoked during celebrations that symbolize joy, energy, and the vibrancy of life. Flames dance in festivals, bonfires blaze at the heart of communities, and fire rituals are used to mark significant moments of transformation and change |
