Revered primarily by the Duranthi of that city, Nal-Kot is believed to have emerged as a conscious spiritual presence through generations of superstition regarding the protection of the nearby mountains over the city and mountain pass.

Nal-Kot is the protector of the city of Djes-Tal, home to Duranthi scholarship and the Ascendant Spirit Varunel. Nal-Kot is known to emerge only when danger threatens the city.
