Introduction
Săilean is an ancestral spirit known as the Guardian of Lepigisţil. Revered primarily by the Arânzeni of that city, Săilean is believed to have emerged as a conscious spiritual presence through generations of superstition regarding the protection of the nearby mountains over the city and mountain pass.
Etymology
Derived from the Arânzeni word for guardian of the mountain pass, leppoko zaintzaille.
Domain and Manifestation
Săilean is the protector of the city of Lepigisţil, home to Arânzeni scholarship and the Ascendant Spirit Varunel. Săilean is known to emerge only when danger threatens the city.
Cultural Significance
Săilean's protection is celebreated annually with a major feast in Lepigisţil and a competition for local Stonewarden warriors.
