Mal-Kelai is a fortified outpost positioned at the northern edge of the Dural Hills, where the terrain descends into the expansive wilderness of the Telenkar Fold. Though located within the bounds of the Dural Hills, the outpost exists primarily to observe and manage movement into the uninhabited Fold. It functions as a monitoring and staging station for Stonewarden patrols and researchers studying large-scale wildlife patterns and geological shifts.
Geography
Built on a raised ridge with direct sightlines across the upper Fold The surrounding hills are dry and uneven, scattered with loose rock and brush. The outpost is partially recessed into the stone for wind protection.
History
The site was established following increased reports of Slateback Behemoth activity approaching the Dural Hills. Mal-Kelai now serves as the primary access point to the Telenkar Fold region.
