Introduction
Saindo is a city in Gostiria in the League of Balúrail, on an island off the coast at Canea Bay, southwest of Tabe. Founded in 201 ME, it was the first human settlement in Balúrail and is known as the First City.
History
Saindo was founded in 201 ME by settlers from the Kingdom of Bóinbile, led by Séan Beascar. It was a colonial town of the Kingdom until the League declared independence in 289 ME. Saindo then became the first capital of Gostiria. Its small island harbor could not serve the growing trade of the coast, and in 371 ME the capital was moved to Lusbá.
Culture and Society
The landing of 201 ME is celebrated each year throughout the League as Lelêrrisse, "first landing". The celebration is most popular in Saindo, where the settlers first came ashore.
