Introduction
Saevien is the language of the Saevien, the warden race of Pavkanai, in Homhuen, the realm of imagination and dreams. The spirits of imagination speak it alongside Tivayi.
Etymology
The language shares its name with the Saevien, a shortened form of saengzvienz, "dream".
History
Saevien is thought to be as old as the Saevien themselves, whom Pavkanai formed after the Great Erosion, once the Dawn Wars had begun.
Distribution
Saevien is spoken in Homhuen. It is not known ever to have been spoken in Dalel.
Phonology
Saevien words are built from short syllables, each carrying a tone. The tone is written with a final letter, z, j, x, q or h, as in saengzvienz and homhuengj. Names taken from Saevien often drop these letters, as in Saevien and Homhuen.
