Introduction
Varn-Telai is a field-oriented research settlement located in the Northern Expanse on the border of the Fractured Wedge, a geologically volatile zone east of the Sanctuary Vale. It serves primary as a research station and academic town devoted to monitoring the Fractured Wedge. The town is mostly staffed by scientists and their familes and supported through logistical routes from Mar-Val and Tharn-Tarin,.
Geography
The settlement rests on a reinforced stone shelf above exposed fault ridges and segmented terrain. Its structures are distributed across stabilized platforms. Wind exposure is high, and sudden shifts in ground stability are common.
History
Founded after initial surveys of the Fractured Wedge, Varn-Telai was designed as a research outpost.
