Introduction
Mount Dombortisé, also called Mount Dombort, is the tallest peak in the Orinilure Range. It is more than just a mountain, it is an Ancestral spirit and a sacred landmark of the Oinien civilization. Avilîché, the central Oinien settlement, is carved directly into the mountain’s core, its tunnels honeycombing the sheer rock face and extending deep beneath the surface.
Etymology
From the Oinien donteur bortisé meaning "brutal peak."
Climate
Mount Dombortisé’s surface climate is brutal, but its interior tunnels offer protection from the elements. Freezing winds frequently cross the exposed face and the upper regions are snowbound year round.
Cultural Significance
Mount Dombortisé is sacred to the Oinien.
