Introduction
Payalwa is the realm of swamps and bogs located on the southwestern side of the continent of Elemara in Orethil. It is the realm of the spirit Moevra, the spirit of myth and folklore and Tragget the spirit of bogs and swamps.
History
Early Inhabitants
Payalwa was originally inhabited by the race of Olsendi, a small swamp adapted otter like creature who lived in small swampy villages scattered around the Payalwa lowlands. Olsendi society is denctralized and tribal in nature.
Human Migration and the Morusi
When humans migrated to the area, they eventually became known the Morusi. Over generations he Olsendi were slowly displaced as the Morusi continued to spread out across the land. As the Morusi grew in strength, oppression of the Olsendi continued resulting in the creation of a large reservation in the north-west.
Geography
Regions
Payalwa is geographically divided into two main regions, the eastern highlands and the western lowlands. The eastern highlands are rocky foothills of the Murzakar mountain range, while in the western lowlands, the majority of the realm of Payalwa consists of swampy peat bogs.
Climate

Payalwa has two distinctive climate regions. The western lowland has long winters with extended freezing periods. The eastern highlands are milder mist laden and temperate.
Flora and Fauna

Pantens - Large mammals creates with wide hooves that can easily cross marshy peat.
Jacas - Reptilian swamp dwellers.
Turfels - Wolf like swamp hunters.
Bedunge - Large dangerous insects
Goverment and Politics
Payalwa is under the jurisdiction of the League of Payalwa. The league consists of four states, one territory and the Olsendi Reservation.
Economy
It is a resource‑heavy realm, and much of its economy is centered around those resources. Mining in the green highlands, forestry, as well as the collection of rare and valuable medicinal herbs in the various swamps through Payalwa.
Demographics
The majority of Payalwa is Morusi, although some smaller ethnic groups live in the port cities. The original inhabitants, the Olsendi, are few in number and confined to the reservation, as well as a few free colonies in the Murzak Wilds.
Native Spirits
Moevre is the ascendant spirit of myth and folklore. Her home is in Leban (region).
Tragget is the ascendant spirit of swamps and bogs. His home is on the Olesndi reservation in north western Payalwa.
