Introduction
Lake Ingur is a shallow, mineral-rich lake located in the central Baviare Vale, serving as the terminus of the Sora River. The lake forms the lowest point in the Ingur Basin, where seasonal runoff and eastward flow from the Mazissage Mountains gather in a wide, rocky depression. While not deep or expansive, Lake Ingur is one of the few consistent water sources in the Vale and plays a critical role in both wildlife movement and human settlement.

From the Arânzeni, ainşiră (lake) ingur (shallow), shallow lake.
Geology
The lakebed is composed of layered stone, silt, and mineral sediment, creating a reflective surface during calm periods. The shores are uneven, marked by smooth rock shelves and intermittent inlets. Water levels fluctuate seasonally, with temporary shallows appearing during drier cycles.
Settlements
Two settlements are situated nearby: the farming town of Luropiră to the northwest, and the city of Ingur along its northern edge.
