Arânzeni culture is grounded in continuity, patience, and history. Arânzeni view their cultural institutions as unchanging.

Names are symbolic and earned over time, reflecting historical events or personal growth.

Arânzeni venerate Varunel as a manifestation of Umalyu, the greater consciousness of all mater.

The Orathic language is a tonal language.

Literature is almost always historical in nature.

Culture and Society of the Berturracioi (edit)

The society of Berturracioi is built upon devotion to their oracles and the creation of music, art and dance. Berturracioi travel in large, sprawling caravans, engineered to survive the desert’s shifting terrain. They are known for their distinctive silver appearance, a result of the sun protection they wear at all times.

Berturracioi hold onto a fairly rigid social structure as a result of their survival in a difficult land. At the top are the Oracles. Elder women who foresee the future and guide their caravans and society at large. Below them are master artisans followed by apprentice artisans. Every aspect of Berturracioi society is considered an artform, from art itself to cooking to raising children.

The Berturracio follow the path of Sethis, this spirit of Inspiration who made their home in the Glass Fields of Arezilur Desert. Oracles, who are Oasari, communicate with Sethis and recieve inspiration in the form of visions.

Berturracioi speak Shathari, a flowing poetic language.

Berturracioimusic mimics the rhythms of the wind and sand:

Flutes – Crafted from hollow desert reeds, mimicking the sound of shifting dunes.
Drums – Made of vibrating metal plates, producing deep, rolling beats like distant thunder.
Wind Chimes – Made of hollow glass, producing light airy sounds.

Traditional clothing are simple white coverings meant to protect from the harsh desert environment.

Culture and Society of the Qerem (edit)

The Qerem are a race of giant reptiles that live in the Arezilur desert.

Qerem society is caste based with functional roles distributed across specialized castes:

Navigators and Guides– Experts in desert navigation, capable of forecasting sand shifts.
Warriors and Leaders - Fierce and strong protectors of Qerem tradition.
Scholars and Diplomats - Those that learn other languages and maintain oral history of their culture.
Hunters and Farmers
Laborers - Often big and slow, this Qerem help clear land and do menial labor.

Qerem cultural memory is preserved through oral storytelling.
