Introduction
Iegirit is a field-oriented research settlement located in the Northern Expanse on the border of Șire Bișit, a geologically volatile zone east of the Baviare Vale. It serves primary as a research station and academic town devoted to monitoring Șire Bișit. The town is mostly staffed by scientists and their familes and supported through logistical routes from Ipierbâni and Iecialzic Gate,.
Etymology
From the Arânzeni word iege (ridge, edge): iegirit, "gone to the edge".
Geography
The settlement rests on a reinforced stone shelf above exposed fault ridges and segmented terrain. Its structures are distributed across stabilized platforms. Wind exposure is high, and sudden shifts in ground stability are common.
History
Founded after initial surveys of Șire Bișit, Iegirit was designed as a research outpost.
