Introduction
The Tarsuun Pass is a narrow, highland corridor marking the southern gateway into Sanctuary Vale. Positioned between the lower slopes of the Khargaath Range and the fog-draped Murazkar Range.
Geography
Tarsuun Pass is defined by layered stone terraces, fractured cliffs, and mineral springs. The pass gradually narrows as it approaches Dul-Val, whose fortified terraces overlook its final ascent into the valley proper.
Historical Significance
The Tarsuun Pass has long served as the principal overland route into Sanctuary Vale. The pass was first opened during the Great Erosion, and served as a critical entry point for retreating Orasians.
Throughout history, control of the pass has been synonymous with the protective nature of Sanctuary Vale.
Cultural Significance
The entrance to Sanctuary Vale itself is marked by the remains of the Kelridan Gates, thought to have been erected by the Orasiians who may have used them to seal off the valley from external threats.
