Introduction
Surn’s Refuge is a vast, vaulted sanctuary district carved deep within the stone body of Kar-Thal. Known for its mineral formations, pillar rings, and architectural stillness, the district serves as the ceremonial soul of the city. Named in honor of Surn-Zal, an early historian and architect, the district is where Duranthi citizens gather for sacred observances.
History
Surn’s Refuge was among the first deep chambers discovered during Kar-Thal’s downward expansion. Originally a natural mineral hollow most likely used by the Namuril.
