Introduction
The Path of Tñarilu is the branch of Osia concerned with the manipulation of light spirits associated with Tñarilu, the Primordial Spirit of light. Its practitioners, known as disciples of the Path of Tñarilu, attune themselves to the conscious presence of light and use it for illumination, guidance, and protection.
Spiritual Hierarchy
The Path of Tñarilu recognizes three classes of light spirits, distinguished by consciousness and strength:
- Nascent Spirits – Found in simple, flickering lights. They are easily attuned to and are used for training and minor rituals.
- Mature Spirits – Found in enduring sources of light such as hearths, lighthouses, and sacred flames. These spirits are semi-conscious and require deeper attunement.
- Ancestral Spirits – Found in celestial bodies and mythic sources of light, such as the sun. Interaction with these spirits is rare and often dangerous, and is attempted only by the most advanced disciples of the Path of Tñarilu.
Training and Attunement
Training in the Path of Tñarilu begins with exposure to nascent spirits and control over flame, reflection, and illumination. As they progress, followers of the Path of Tñarilu commune with mature spirits under guidance and are initiated into rituals that align their will with the rhythms of light. Master disciples may attempt brief attunements with ancestral spirits, usually during eclipses, solstices, or solar alignments, and do so with great caution.
