Ascendant spirits are a category of spiritual entities within the cosmology of Adaris, representing the concepts, forces, and elements that arose from the interactions and dreams of the Primordial spirits. Unlike the Primordial spirits, who emerged from the Primordial Void, Ascendant spirits are born from the merging of elements and the creative thoughts of the primordial entities, shaping and defining the world more distinctly.

Origin and Nature

As the primordial spirits gained consciousness and began shaping reality, new ideas and concepts arose. These phenomena became, overrtime, the ascendant spirits.

Some ascendant spirits arise from the tangible convergence of primordial elements. These include spirits such as Arenam (sand and desert) and Tahrnath (volcanoes and magma) with each representing physical phenomena or environments shaped by combined elemental domains.

Other ascendant spirits emerge from the intangible. Soravet (knowledge), and Varunel (history/memory) are born from interplay between Daathir and Awenlas in additon to the other primordial spirits.

Manifestation and Presence

As the realms of Adaris stabilized, many Ascendant spirits moved outward into them, inhabiting specific domains in the physical plane. Their presence ended up influencing environments, shaping terrain, and altering flora, fauna, and metaphysical properties.
