Introduction
Payalwa is the realm of swamps and bogs located on the southwestern side of the continent of Elemara in Orethil. It is the realm of the spirit Moevra, the spirit of myth and folklore and Tragget the spirit of bogs and swamps.
History
Early Inhabitants
Payalwa was originally inhabited by the race of Olsendi, a small swamp adapted otter like creature who lived in small swampy villages scattered around the Payalwa lowlands. Olsendi society is denctralized and tribal in nature.
Human Migration and the Morusi
When humans migrated to the area, they eventually becoming the Morusi, their skin and eyes quickly adapting to the nature of their swampy home. Over generations he Olsendi were slowly displaced as the Morusi continued to spread out across the land. As the Morusi grew in strength, oppression of the Olsendi continued resulting in the creation of a large reservation in the north-west.
