Awenelir is the mythic homeland of humanity in Adaris, the physical location where imagination first took form. It is considered the convergence point where the dream-realm of Kalpanas, guided by Awenlas, breached the waking world. From this breach emerged the first humans, shaped in thought and then born into flesh. == Origin and Nature == Awenelir was not merely a geographic island, but a liminal zone where metaphysical and physical forces merged. Its terrain was marked by surreal landscapes: reflective waters, singing forests, and hills that carried memory. It was the first place where the influence of Awenlas manifested materially. == Human History == The early human societies of Awenelir were dream-bound, fluid in culture, and woven by narrative. Their languages blended symbol and sound; their rites gave shape to myth. As imagination intensified, Awenelir could no longer contain the flux of creative energy. Waves of migration followed, leading humans into the elemental realms of Adaris, where they were transformed into clades such as the Orathians and Velari. == Decline and Disappearance == Over time, Awenelir either collapsed, transcended, or became sealed beyond reach. Its exact fate is unknown. It is remembered in myth as a place of wholeness, creation, and sometimes hubris. == Legacy == Those who retain the original human form are often called Trueborn, believed to be the closest cultural descendants of Awenelir. Various kingdoms and sects claim ancestral ties to it. Prophecies speak of a future "Reawakening," when the dream-born fragments of humanity may reconverge and reforge Awenelir in a new form. == See Also == * Kalpanas * Awenlas * Trueborn * Wanderings of the Awenfolk
