The Realms of Adaris

Adaris is a world composed of various realms, each representing different aspects of reality, consciousness, and the elements. These realms are divided into two main categories: the Intangible Realm, which embodies the abstract and metaphysical, and the Tangible Realm, which represents the physical and elemental aspects of existence.

The continent on which most land is, is known as Elemara.

The Intangible Realm

The Intangible Realm encompasses the non-physical dimensions of Adaris, where ideas, emotions, memories, and spiritual forces take form. These realms are less about tangible geography and more about abstract concepts that influence the lives and thoughts of all beings in Adaris.

Major Realms

  • The Realm of Consciousness: Adaris

The central metaphysical realm where all consciousness resides and from which all thoughts and dreams emanate. It is the source of awareness and the collective subconscious of all beings.

  • The Realm of Dream

A mystical realm where dreams and fantasies come to life. It is ever-changing, reflecting the dreams of those who sleep.

Sub-Realms and Domains

  • The Realm of Death

The final destination for souls departing from the physical world. It is a place of reflection, transition, and rebirth.

  • The Realm of Knowledge

A vast repository of all information and wisdom in existence. It is a place where seekers come to learn, gain insight, and explore the mysteries of the universe.

  • The Realm of Time

A dimension where time flows differently. Past, present, and future converge, allowing visitors to experience moments from any era.

  • Domain of Memory

A realm filled with echoes of past events and memories. It serves as a sanctuary for forgotten thoughts and long-lost recollections.

  • The Realm of Creativity

A vibrant and dynamic realm where imagination knows no bounds. It is the source of all artistic inspiration.

    • Domain of Art

A sub-realm dedicated to visual expression, where paintings, sculptures, and other artworks come to life.

    • Domain of Music

A realm where music is the language of creation, resonating through the air with melodies and harmonies.

    • Domain of Theater

A realm of performance and storytelling, where actors and narratives take on a life of their own.

  • Realm of Folklore/Mythology

A realm where legends and myths are born and thrive. It is filled with mythical creatures, heroes, and ancient tales.

    • Domain of Traditions

A sub-realm that preserves the customs and rituals of various cultures, serving as the bedrock of societal identity.

  • The Realm of Emotions

A realm where feelings and emotions manifest in physical form, from serene landscapes of joy to stormy seas of anger.

  • Realm of Desires

A place where the deepest wishes and yearnings of all beings are manifested, often in unpredictable and sometimes perilous forms.

  • Realm of Shadows

A mysterious dimension, separate from the Realm of Darkness, where secrets and hidden aspects of reality reside.

The Tangible Realm

The Tangible Realm consists of the physical and elemental dimensions of Adaris, where the natural and material world is shaped by elemental forces and energies. These realms are defined by their geography, climate, and the elements they embody.

Major Realms

  • Realm of Earth: Terasil

The foundation of the physical world.

  • Realm of Air

A vast sky realm filled with winds, clouds, and ethereal beings. It is a place of freedom and constant change, where the atmosphere is in perpetual motion.

  • Realm of Fire

Below ground a sea of unrelenting fire, the source of heat and flame within the world.

  • Realm of Water

A realm of oceans, rivers, and lakes, symbolizing fluidity, adaptability, and the essence of life.

  • Realm of Light: Positioned on one side of Terasil, this realm acts as a sun, providing daylight and warmth. When Terasil rotates to face this realm, it experiences daytime.

A realm of eternal daylight and warmth, representing clarity, truth, and the life-giving energy of the sun.

  • The Realm of Darkness/Night

Located on the opposite side of the Realm of Light, this realm represents night. When Terasil rotates to face the Realm of Darkness, it experiences nighttime.

The Realm of Twilight

Positioned on the two transitional sides between the Realm of Light and Realm of Darkness, these realms represent dawn and dusk. As Terasil rotates through these areas, it transitions between day and night, experiencing the gradual change of light.

  • Realm of Earth (Oras): Represents stability, endurance, and the solid foundation of the physical world.
    • Spirit: Oras – Guardian of stability and endurance, overseeing all earthy aspects of Adaris.
  • Realm of Stone (Terasil): Characterized by towering peaks, cliffs, and rugged terrain.
    • Spirit: Spirit of Solidity – Embodies strength, permanence, and the formidable power of stone.
  • Domain of Metal: A sub-realm rich in metallic veins and minerals, representing the strength and utility of metals.
    • Spirit: Spirit of Metal – Oversees the extraction, forging, and crafting of metals.
  • Realm of Highlands: Elevated plateaus and rugged highlands that provide strategic and cultural isolation.
