Introduction
Emerioa is the Ascendant Spirit of emotions, both positive and negative. She is emotion itself. Around her stands a court of ten Ascendant Spirits, each of which embodies a pair of opposed emotions. She lives in Gosterra, where her home, the House of Emerioa, stands in the Mona Forest.
Nature and Influence
Emerioa has existed since the Age of Ascendance, when she was the second Ascendant Spirit to settle in Gosterra, after Ettal. Emotion in its particular forms took shape only when humans arrived in Dalel in the Great Migration; the ten spirits of her court arose at that time, from the meeting of Emerioa with the feelings of the first settlers to land in Gosterra.
Every emotion has a spirit. A passing feeling, such as a moment of anger or a flash of envy, forms a Nascent Spirit that fades as the feeling does. A feeling held for a long time or shared by many people, such as a long grief or an old resentment within a family, can become a Mature Spirit.
Relationship with Other Spirits
Emerioa is attended by a court of ten Ascendant Spirits. They arose from the interaction of Emerioa with human feeling, and they regard her as the eldest and center of their court. Each embodies a pair of opposed emotions:

The spirits of the court have no houses of their own. They are found wherever people are, and so are encountered throughout Dalel, though they are counted among the spirits of Gosterra.

Emerioa lives in Gosterra. Her home, the House of Emerioa, is in the Mona Forest in the province of Enis in the Heialdyn Stratocracy.
