The Aqerem are a race of giant reptiles that live in the Arezilur desert.

Societal Structure

Aqerem society is caste based with functional roles distributed across specialized castes:

• Navigators and Guides– Experts in desert navigation, capable of forecasting sand shifts.
• Warriors and Leaders - Fierce and strong protectors of Aqerem tradition.
• Scholars and Diplomats - Those that learn other languages and maintain oral history of their culture.
• Hunters and Farmers
• Laborers - Often big and slow, this Aqerem help clear land and do menial labor.

Literature and Oral Traditions

Not all warrior Aqerem are large. Many of the most fearsome fighters are often small and nimble.

Aqerem cultural memory is preserved through oral storytelling.
