Introduction

The Orinilure Collective is the governing body of the Oinien of the Orinilure Mountains, in eastern Orinilure. Its capital is Orinilure City.

History

The Collective was formed in 230 ME. Because Oinien cities are linear and depend on one another, the Collective established a common government early to serve the settlements of the range.

In 440 ME the Collective chartered the Erden Monopoly to mine and settle the Irere Mountains. The Monopoly came to govern the western range independently. The two states fought from 626 to 633 ME. The treaty that ended the war left the land between them, around the House of Iriché in the Orinilure Valley, as a neutral zone, and both states built the Treaty Forts along it.

Structure and leadership

The Collective is a legally established oligarchy. Leadership passes in cycles of accumulated wealth: those who accumulate the most wealth in a year govern for the following cycle.

Relations with other factions

The Collective and the Erden Monopoly remain rivals, separated by the neutral zone and the Treaty Forts. The Collective controls the Deep Roads within its territory and has agreements with the Council of Lavierin, which governs the roads linking Orinilure to the Arânzeni Confederation.
