With the great war of erosion, Balúrail western lowlands were inundated with water. [[Yairan]]' plan to harden the earth backfired, creating a vast network of swamps and lakes that persist to this day. Here the [[Ascendant Spirit]] [[Tahami]] first emerged as the spirit of swamps and bogs. He made his home in this region and over time the [[Olsendi]], who also built their civilization here, lived peacefully for hundreds of years before the Boiyende arrived in the year 200.
