|Introduction=Dalel is the name given to the physical realm of earth within the greater structure of Adaris. It encompasses all material geography that define lived experience on land. Realms such as Khamria, Hodandia, and Arezilur exist within Dalel’s bounds.
|Introduction=Dalel is the realm of earth in Adaris and the domain of Yairan, the Primordial Spirit of Earth. It comprises all land: the continents, islands, and subterranean spaces inhabited by mortal peoples. Dalel was originally an unbroken expanse of stone and the first tangible realm. It was reduced to its present extent during the Great Erosion, when water, air, and fire entered it. It is surrounded by Aasila, the realm of water, and lies beneath Zayam, the realm of air, and above Píñáku, the realm of fire.

Dalel is shaped by physical processes and is considered the foundational plane from which many other tangible realms diverge.
|Etymology=Dalel is the word for "earth" or "world" in Tivayi, the language of spirits.

The name is derived from the word for earth or world in the language of spirits, Tivayi.

Formation
Dalel was formed by Yairan from Ákyar, the chaotic energy of Napadéh, and was the first tangible realm to come into being. In its original state it was an endless, featureless expanse of solid stone, without water, air, fire, or life.

Dalel emerged during the early stabilization of Adaris, following the creation of time by the Ascendant Spirit Konmai. As the primordial elements sought to impose order on the chaotic void of Ákyar, Yairan anchored the material world into place. From this anchor, the first lands and structures of Dalel coalesced—mountains, valleys, and the enduring crust of the physical world.
Great Erosion
Great Erosion
Aahi, the Primordial Spirit of Water, had no realm of her own and forced her way into Dalel. Yavi and Metihi, the spirits of air and fire, followed. The resulting conflict between the elements is known as the Great Erosion. Water cut rivers, lakes, and seas into the stone, wind wore down its surface, and fire broke through from below. Dalel was reduced from an unbounded realm to separate landmasses surrounded by sea.

The intrusion of Aahi into the forming plane led to the catastrophic event known as the Great Erosion, fracturing the borders of the elemental realms and forever altering Dalel’s structure. This marked the beginning of true geological memory, as layers of trauma and change became embedded in stone.
During the conflict Yairan created the Namuril as warriors and protectors of the realm. Konmai, the Primordial Spirit of time, also emerged during this period, and his arrival caused the elements to act on one another in sequence. The conflict was ended by the Enarei, who were created by Umalyu.

In the aftermath, Dalel became the site of balance and containment—a place where multiple forces converged but were held stable through the enduring will of Yairan. It was within this realm that the first mortal civilizations formed, guided by ascendant spirits. Over time, these early cultures shaped the surface and subsurface of Dalel.
Yairan withdrew to the Domain of Yairan, within the Așdilu Mountains of Khamria. It is regarded as the only part of Dalel that remains in its original state.
|Geography=Dalel’s landmasses are divided into continental subrealms, each shaped by distinct spiritual and environmental characteristics. Though grounded in the dominion of Yairan, the spirit of earth, Dalel remains in continual contact with the surrounding influence of other elemental forces.

Watercourses and surface oceans exist within Dalel, but they are expressions of intrusion rather than origin. The world-plane is encircled by Aasila, the endless sea formed by Aahi, the spirit of water. Aahi’s influence seeps inland along coastlines and river systems, softening and reshaping the terrain but never fully claiming it.
Later history
After the Great Erosion, Ascendant Spirits settled in the regions of Dalel and shaped their terrain, plants, and animals. The first civilizations in Dalel were those of its non-human native peoples. Humans, who originated on the island of Haberria, spread across Dalel during the Great Migration and developed into distinct peoples under the influence of the spirits of the regions where they settled.

Forests, deserts, and highland ecosystems have developed in isolated zones where elemental balance allows—often along the shifting boundaries between earth and the other elemental realms. These intersections generate ecological diversity, though always filtered through the dominant presence of stone and memory.
|Geography=Dalel is a flat plane. Its land consists of three continents and the large island of Orhuart, separated by the seas of Aasila. The continents are Méniail, Luraskor, and Rohashe.

Despite its grounding in matter, Dalel is a dynamic landscape—continually shaped by the slow, resonant dialogue between elemental forces. Its changes are layered rather than abrupt, shaped by time, erosion, and the spiritual pressures that flow beneath the visible world.
Rivers, lakes, and seas within and between the landmasses are regarded as part of Aasila's intrusion into Dalel rather than as part of Dalel itself.
|Climate=Dalel spans a wide range of latitudes and elevations, resulting in diverse and stratified climates across its surface and subsurface regions. The northernmost reaches are dominated by frigid highlands, glacial shelves, and permafrost basins, where temperature extremes and spiritual stillness foster hardy, slow-adapting lifeforms. In contrast, the southern regions give way to sun-scorched deserts, eroded basins, and heat-cracked plateaus where survival depends on scarcity-driven adaptation.

Between these extremes, temperate valleys, mountain-ringed basins, and seasonal steppes form pockets of stability. These regions often serve as cradles for major settlements and trade corridors. Orographic effects caused by massive mountain ranges such as the Așdilus and the Mazissage Mountains produce microclimates—ranging from mist-fed forests to dry shadows and wind-carved rocklands.
Regions
Méniail
* Aráinia
* Arezilur
* Balúrail
* Domain of Yairan
* Gosterra
* Jesselsom
* Khamria
* Orinilure

Subterranean zones, while shielded from atmospheric fluctuation, maintain their own internal climate systems driven by geothermal gradients, air circulation through natural chimneys, and proximity to elemental rifts. These underground climates are generally cool, consistent, and humid, supporting fungal ecologies and bioluminescent life adapted to darkness.
Luraskor
* Dairhaur
* Hibailur
* Hilisare
* Hisardal
* Uansere

Rohashe
* Elursāde
* Hevaran
* Hodandia
* Shorenlur

Islands
* Orhuart

Subterranean regions
Parts of Dalel are inhabited below the surface. The largest known network is the Deep Roads, which runs beneath Khamria and Orinilure.

|Climate=The climate of Dalel is arranged in concentric rings rather than by latitude. Temperatures are highest at the center of the plane, which now lies under the sea, and fall with distance from it. The outermost ring is permanently frozen. A region's climate therefore depends chiefly on its distance from the center, and a single continent may extend across several rings.

Mountain ranges modify local conditions. The Așdilu Mountains and the Mazissage Mountains block moisture-bearing winds, producing rain shadows on one side and mist and heavy rainfall on the other.
