This circular range completely encompasses the [[Domain of Oras]], an unexplored region believed to be the home of the [[Primordial Spirit]] of earth, [[Oras]]. These ancient peaks are not only a geographic landmark but also a site of profound cultural and spiritual significance.
Etymology:	The name "Citadel Mountains" originates from the mountains' location surronding and protecting the domain of Oras.
Geography:	The Citadel Mountains form a circle around the Domain of Oras forming a natural barrier that significantly influences the surrounding environment. The range spans several hundred miles forming a rough circle. The Citadel Mountains' high altitudes block moisture-laden winds from the west, creating a pronounced rain shadow effect. This phenomenon contributes to the arid conditions of [[Zanarak]]. The range includes several notable peaks, each with its own unique characteristics and cultural significance. The highest peak, known as [[Orak-Thun]], is considered sacred as it is believed to be the birthplace of the first Orasians.
Geology:	The Citadel Mountains are primarily composed of ancient stone, rich in minerals and crystals. Their geological composition reflects the intense tectonic activity that shaped Terasil eons ago. The mountains were formed through the manifestation of Oras's thought and creativity to protect both themselves and their creations. The range is rich in various minerals, making it a vital source of resources for the inhabitants of Terasil. The mountains are known for their veins of precious metals and crystals, which are mined by the [[Duranthi]], [[Minthari]] and other races.
Climate:	The climate of the Citadel Mountains is predominantly arid, with variations depending on altitude and exposure.
